There are three Sections in the Assignment. You have to answer all questions in the Sections.
Section-I
Answer the following in about 500 words each

- Describe the foundation of nationalism in Indian sub-continent.
Section-II
Answer the following questions in about 250 words each.
- Explain the basic features of Indian constitution.
- Discuss ‘Dalit’ movement in post-independence India.
- Discuss the major forms of ethnic identity and assertion in India.
Section-III
Write a short note on each of the following in about 100 words each.

- Tebhaga Movement in Bengal (1946-47)
- Communalism
- Intergenerational and Intragenerational Mobility
- Social Constructionist Approach to ethnicity
