What is role learning?

Role learning starts early in life when children observe how people around them behave. They often play role-playing games, acting as parents or teachers. We have role models, from family to people we see on social media, who influence our behavior. In daily life, we switch roles effortlessly, like being a daughter, a friend, or a professional. For example, How we behave in a formal set up of workspace is different from how we behave at home. However, people don’t always conform to societal expectations and often redefine their roles, like women taking on roles traditionally held by men. These shifts in roles reflect the evolving nature of society and the ongoing struggle for equality. Social changes, though, are slow and may take years or even require significant struggles.
